Ronen Castro – CEO
Ronen Castro has vast experience in marketing & sales, business development and managing positions in medical device companies. In the last 20 years he has served in companies like Contec-Medical (Rigid Endoscopy products), Versamed (Software based Ventilation Machines), SLP (SleepMedicine and Respiratory products) and MetaCure (Implantable Gastric Stimulator for Diabesity). For the last 3 years prior to joining IOPtima, he was the CEO of Allium Medical Solutions (TASE:ALMD), a manufacturer of various MIS products. 2 year before, he served as the CEO of C-Boot, a manufacturer of advanced compression therapy products. He is also the founder of DCS Medical and EZ-Tube. Ronen Castro holds an MBA degree from Ben-Gurion University.
Itai Bar-Natan – CFO
Among his responsibilities in BIOLIGHT, Mr. Itai Bar-Natan serves as the CFO of IOPtima. Previously Mr. Bar-Natan worked at Ernst & Young Israel and U.S for 10 years in several positions. His last role was a senior manager in the tech practice, leading diverse clients, including early stage through late stage, domestic, multinational and publically traded companies. Mr. Bar-Natan has vast experience in corporate finance, international corporate tax, fund raising to early stage clients , M&As, IPOs and secondary capital raising. Mr. Bar-Natan holds a BA in Accounting (with honors) and Political Science from the Tel-Aviv University and is a CPA.
Elad Shalev – Director of Marketing & Sales
Mr. Shalev brings over a decade of vast experience in various positions in the medical device arena, including sales, marketing and product management. During recent years, Mr. Shalev served as a Global Sales Manager in Medoc Ltd., and as International Sales Manager in Light Instruments Ltd., a daughter company of Syneron Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ-ELOS). Mr. Shalev was a part of the turnaround management before its acquisition by Sino-lite Ltd. Mr. Shalev is a multilingual, speaking fluent English, Spanish and Hebrew, having profound understanding of different cultures and local market behaviors and trends. Mr. Shalev holds BA in Business Administration, majoring in information technologies.
Amnon Nahum-Sharon – COO
32 years of work experience in the medical device industry. Proficient in all aspects of operations, quality and regulatory in companies which develop, manufacture and sell medical products. For many years, Amnon was part of LifaCare, a family-owned business which provide outsourced R&D and manufacturing services. In parallel, he provided regulatory consultation services to medical device manufacturers. Amnon is with IOPtima since 2010.
Keren Reuveni – Clinical Director
Keren is a clinical research professional with experience in multiple medical fields. Over the last decade Keren worked with large global organizations as well as with “start-up” companies, initiated and managed multicenter clinical studies across the globe. Prior to joining IOPtima, Keren worked for the last 5 years at Valtech Cardio, an accomplished start up providing solutions for heart valves repair. Keren has a Bsc. in Animal Science from the Hebrew university of Jerusalem, and is now completing her Master’s degree in Public Health at Tel Aviv University.
Eran Kaplan – Director of R&D and Clinical Specialist
Eran brings vast academic and professional experience in the medical device field. Prior to joining IOPtima Ltd. Eran served as R&D/Application engineer at Dune Medical Devices – a company engaged in the development of intraoperative, real-time cancer detection devices. Prior to that, Eran served as System & Development engineer at Opticul Diagnostics – a company that develops a novel instant and specific bacterial optical-detection system. Eran holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and M.Sc. in Medical Sciences both from Tel Aviv University.
